Welcome to our web site. The Harvest Grove Project has one project to date. In 2009, our goal was to build a community center in Kenya, Africa near the town of Eldoret. We have purchased property and began planting trees. We opened a community garden on the the property and trained neighbors in sustainable farming practices. In 2010, we have reached our goal and are finishing the building. Some of the ladies in the neighborhood have joined together to make jewelry. We have gone to elders of the community and collected information about home remedies that have been used traditionally. We've documented the information and have begun a medicinal garden of plants that have traditionally been used for medicinal and household purposes.

Our Mission Statement
Harvest Grove Community Center seeks to:

•  grow trees which provide food

•  introduce new varieties of plants to this area

•  provide information on plants that have been traditionally used to promote good health

•  bring the community together to perpetuate values and build prevention of HIV infection

•  provide a garden area to members of the community who have little or no property so they can provide food for their families.
